Graves
of Titus Travis and Elizabeth (French), in the Old Travis Burying Ground
on Peekskill Hollow Road, Putnam Valley New York
Welcome to one of the few Travis home pages on the Web. If you have a URL for one or two or more, let me know and I'll put a link to them here. The Travis line on this page is not connected to Col. William Barret Travis of Alamo fame. Titus and his son George were Revolutionary War veterans. Titus' commander during the Revolutionary War was Col. Henry Luddington whose daughter Sibyl has been called the Female Paul Revere.
The descendant lines here are not complete, and some of the data may be inaccurate. If you wish, you may send additions or corrections in care of my e-mail address and I'll try to incorporate the material into this page (as time permits) with appropriate credit, so you can be contacted by other Travis researchers.

END CLUTTER! I searched the WEB for a page to help me end personal paper clutter. I found this one and thought it might be useful to others also, so I got permission to link to it. This has a chart showing what papers to keep and for how long. Thanks to West Coast Escrow president Mr. Richard Cannan for allowing me to link to their helpful page. Go to this page and on the left frame click on "Consumer Services," then "Helpful Information," and you'll find all sorts of good tips for the home owner.
